Maps of Solar Eclipses from 1920 to 1924

The total solar eclipse of September 10, 1923 grazed the southwest corner of California and northern Baja California. Expeditions were sent from a number of American universities to observe and photograph the eclipse, however the weather in this part of California was largely cloudy. However, some observers in Baja California were successful with clear skies.

In the photo, famous astronomer Edwin Hubble was in San Diego but unfortunately did not see the eclipse.
