Maps of Solar Eclipses from 1930 to 1934

Just 7 years after the 1925 total solar eclipse over New York City, totality again visited the northeast United States. The path of totality crossed over northeast Canada and the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and a small part of Massachusetts. Many people took trains to New England to witness this spectacle.

This eclipse occurred during the Great Depression and was seen as a diversion for the public. The weather was mixed over New England on eclipse day.
